Our End of Year 2020 Appeal

Dear Supporters, 2020 was certainly a challenging year for us all and without you by our side we wouldn’t have survived it, thank you from everyone at Action Change. All funds raised through our end of year project have already been hard at work ensuring we survive another day! Although we rely on volunteers and ensuring our running costs are the lowest possible it still costs us money to turn the lights on every morning and ensure we are able to support over 75 projects around the world. Because of your gifts of donations we were able to save lives through 2020 through providing food parcels that would support a family of 4 for 2 months to over 100 families - that is a total of 24,000 meals. In South Africa we were able to fund the food and gas for a kitchen that provided 200 meals a day 5 days a week from 1st April to 20th December. We funded over 300 masks for frontline staff and patients in rural hospitals across Central America and Africa. We set up and funded a domestic violence call centre allowing free calls for over 6 months in Zimbabwe, we purchased PPE materials for our homeless shelter and domestic violence safehouse. In Fiji we worked with the local women to help train and reskill them due to the collapse of tourism. In Peru we responded to an urgent appeal from a rural hospital in need of oxygen. As well as all this we worked with every single project daily to ensure we prepared and supported a long term plan for us to reopen and get back to our crutital work in 2021 and now we face the new year we have lots to achieve. This year with your donations we plan to ensure every project get’s back on track to fighting the global goals, we aim to fundraise to build a new sustainable all purpose school in the slums of Kenya, we are looking forward to fundraising and opening a new shark protection and plastic research ocean project in Mozambique and over in Asia we are looking to open our first women and health project in South India.
