We recently had a medical physical check up for the 22 Ebola orphans that reside in the Dream Home. Aisha & Mabinty need prescription eye glasses. This is needed for general use and for reading. We have an on-going need for malaria medication. There other ongoing medical needs for the Dream Home children including vaccinations and standard medications (cold medicine, Tylenol etc). This project will help cover the medical needs for the 22 orphans at the Dream Home.
When we took over responsibility for them, we did not receive any medical records. We have since gotten medical records and two of them need prescription glasses. Taking care of 22 children requires active attention to their health - to ensure that they are well and thriving. A failure to proactively attend to their on-going medical needs would result in them being hindered in one way or the other or frequently ill.
Funds from this project will cover cost of prescription glasses, doctor visits, home nurse care, travel to appointments, any needed vaccinations or medications and other medical needs of the 22 Ebola orphans. Funds will also cover any emergency hospitalizations.
This project offers tremendous benefits in terms of being able to help deserving children grow and mature into healthy model adults that will impact their communities and nation - and even the world.
