NFTE D.C. Region will launch it's program at eight new schools around the District of Columbia, bringing entrepreneurship education to 400 additional students.
Help launch NFTE at 8 new schools this year! Funds needed to provide award-winning core curriculum, "Entrepreneurship: Owning Your Future, 11th Ed", so that 400 more students from low-income neighborhoods around the D.C. area can be inspired with entrepreneurship to develop their potential and plan for successful futures.
Students use the NFTE curriculum to learn about return on investment, opportunity recognition, personal finance, sales and marketing, business ethics, philanthropy, and more. By creating their own business plans, they apply math, reading, and writing in a way that is relevant and fun!
By working to keep at-risk students engaged in their school work, NFTE spurs its participants to graduate high school and dare to dream of a brighter future. Whether they pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or start their own business, NFTE instills an entrepreneurial mindset in young people so they can plan for success. Since 1987 NFTE has worked with almost 500,000 students across the U.S. and around the world.
