Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ker ImagiNation has closed it's physical space in Yoff Tonghor, Dakar, Senegal to more than 12,000 children. This project will secure a new location, as soon as the health situation is conducive to that. This new center will continue our mission to help children develop their creativity, exhibit their creations, imagine, develop critical thinking skills, and discover their world! Simply, a place that shows them that they are loved and respected.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have unfortunately made the difficult decision to close our physical space Ker ImagiNation, based in Yoff Tonghor. Ker ImagiNation's core values of thinking globally and acting locally have enabled it, in collaboration with local partners, to create and maintain spaces that stimulate the imagination through hands-on learning for more than 12,000 children.
Ker ImagiNation helps children to develop their creativity, exhibit their creations, imagine, develop critical thinking skills, and discover their world! Our play spaces and programs promote and encourage scientific discovery and imaginative play. Our programs and play spaces encourage collaboration and group work. We create learning spaces that promote the use of authentic and natural materials that reflect and validate the world of children.
This project will provide a space to educate up to 50 children (between the ages of 9 months to 14 years old) per day in subjects of art, science, mathematics, technology, and engineering; preparing them to become future leaders and problem solvers and, successfully contributing to the development of Senegal.
