Thank you so much for your donation to this project! Thanks to these funds, Girls Engineering Change was able to fund a student to participate in a session where she was able to assemble an electrosurgery unit tester that will be sent to a hospital in the developing world. She was mentored by a student at Duke University and encouraged to consider a career in the sciences, specifically in engineering. Her face lit up when she was able to get a picture with her newly constructed medical device. She also left talking about how excited she was to go to college, and was beyond excited with the opportunity to be on a college campus for the first time in her life. Overall, this project was made possible because of kind donations and this young student was directly impacted by the donation. Thank you!
