This microproject provides immediate survival support to 400 families (approx. 1,500 people) severely affected by Cyclone Montha in Bapatla, Guntur and Krishna districts. It will change their immediate situation from one of hunger and complete exposure to one of safety and stability. We'll distribute essential food and hygiene kits and temporary shelter materials. This rapid, foundational support is crucial for dignity and allows families to begin the long process of recovery.
This micro project provides life and dignity saving relief to 400 families devastated by Cyclone Montha. We supply two weeks of food/hygiene essentials and crucial shelter materials to shift them from panic to hope and stability. This foundational support stops the cycle of disaster-induced poverty. We will also initiate rebuild activities, guided by needs assessments, to address heavy losses of crops and other vital assets.
We will rapidly mobilize local teams and volunteers to deliver targeted aid in two phases: Emergency Kits: Distributing Dry Ration and Hygiene Kits to all 400 families immediately to prevent hunger and disease. Shelter Aid: Providing Temporary Shelter Kits (tarpaulins, ropes, mats, Blankets and Cooking utensils ) to at least 100 families whose homes are damaged, ensuring they have basic protection from the elements. This rapid action addresses their most urgent needs efficiently.
The initial relief prevents severe malnutrition and illness, keeping families intact. By stabilizing their environment, they can focus on long-term recovery. This project serves as a bridge, allowing families to retain dignity, protecting children, and enabling the most vulnerable (like fisherfolk and laborer's) to start minor repairs and gradually restore their income sources, bolstering community resilience against future climate shocks.
