With the money received through Global Giving, Candelaria Sut, the program manager for our Women's Development Program has expanded our micro credit loan program from Santa Clara la Laguna, Solola to serve the women in our project in Chumanzana, Chichicastenango, Quiche. She has explained the agreement and the responsibilites of both the women and the Fund, and the application process. The women who are interested have requested loans. Some of their projects are raising chickens and pigs, sale of bread, stocking a store, and buying materials to weave products to sell. The loans will be disbursed in Jan. 2014 and the women will have the money available for their use.
