Help Us Care for Charming Charlie!

Summary

Charming Charlie is a cockatiel whose lower beak was mostly bitten off by an African Grey in a terrible accident. He is currently hospitalized and learning how to eat again. You can help Charming Charlie get the veterinary care he desperately needs to fully recover.

Challenge

Charlie has lost a great deal of weight and has had to be tube fed. He may require additional surgery on his beak. Thankfully, he is expected to recover and adapt to his situation. Charlie is a beautiful, intelligent, and caring bird who needs a new home, one that can love and care for him as a part of their family for the rest of his life. Before Mickaboo can find him that new home, we need to address Charlie's veterinary needs

Solution

This project will help pay for Charlie's veterinary care.

Long-Term Impact

Our goal is to medically rehabilitate each of our 450+ birds so that they may be placed in qualified permanent homes. Over time, we believe our education and outreach efforts will reduce the number of birds surrendered to us for various reasons.
