Make a memorable gift this holiday season and support DAKTARI's largest resident, Martin the cheetah! Your donations will be used to provide food, care, and fun for Martin in 2017. Donate as a gift for someone else (and leave the sweater at home) or donate for yourself!

DAKTARI is Martin's retirement home. He was a major part of the endangered species breeding program here in Hoedspruit for 10 years. Now, a retiree, he is a thrilling and memorable part of our education program for the local children.

Although quite a bit older than wild cheetahs, Martin is still a healthy, hearty cheetah. He is fed chickens and local game (when available) and we work with him to keep him active. Your support will fund his food, care, and activities.

Long-Term Impact

A positive and clean environment with healthy and cared-for animals serves to push our impact on the children, and consequently on the community. Likewise, through the education of the future generations of the area, we aim to make a lasting impact on the local wildlife.
