The Little Green Bus is a farmer's market on wheels that provides locally grown and fresh produce to different houses around the Triangle, North Carolina area. We are a service that allows for customers to know exactly where their fresh produce is coming from while creating a "Little Green Bus community" both online at www.littlegreenbus.com and in person.
Our project empowers teenagers to get involved with making a positive impact within their communities, since the Little Green Bus generally hires high school students aged 16-18. Our project also reduces the amount of fuel emissions needed to transport produce from the farm to the doorstep, since we only use locally grown produce. Furthermore, the Little Green Bus makes sure to create a positive and thriving community both online and in person by keeping customers connected.
The Little Green Bus hopes to expand to deliver to more than just the Triangle area. We hope to expand to not only all of North Carolina, but also other states as well. We believe that the Little Green Bus can catch on with teenagers to become a Little Green Movement that sweeps the nation.
