Update from the field: IT’S HAPPENING!

Well, it’s happening... it’s really happening!

After five and a half long, hard-working, and beautiful years in our Self-Help Group (SHG) program, 10 of our Cluster Level Associations (CLAs) are finally being assessed for readiness to launch our very first fully fledged Federation!

We’ve been working side-by-side with these incredible women toward this exact milestone since mid-2021, and to see us standing on the threshold right now is beyond words.

The energy here on the ground is absolute electric! We have a special visiting team all the way from KwaZulu-Natal, along with Anderson from Malawi, who are here with us to oversee the process. They’re ensuring every single CLA gets a fair, thorough assessment to make sure they’re truly strong and ready to stand as part of the Federation.

The women are so, so excited! Each lady started in her own local SHG, running her own small business to support her family. From there, many stepped up to serve on their local CLA. Now, if their CLA passes this assessment, they’ll hold elections to choose the representatives who will step onto the stage at the Federation level.

To give you an idea of how far we’ve come together: we now have 158 SHGs and 12 CLAs!

Over the next two weeks of intense training and evaluation, we’ll know for sure if we’re officially ready to launch the Federation. Man, it is just so exciting!

None of this—not a single business, not a single CLA, and certainly not this Federation—would exist without you. Thank you for walking this long journey with us. You have literally kept the lights on, the doors open, and the hope alive.

We can’t wait to share the final results with you in a couple of weeks!

With endless gratitude,

Louise and the Keep The Dream196 Team
