Limpopo Province has been deluged by floods which has washed away all the family planting which took place over December, we are anticipating issues with: Hunger and food insecurity Increased Cholera and related gastrointestinal diseases due to the ground being covered with 3-4inches of water everywhere which means pit latrine effluent is mixed in with this water. Increased immune systems. Lack of CLEAN water We need help now, to prevent reoccurring drastic health issues.
By providing food parcels, seed for planting once waters have receded, water purification tablets and clean dry clothes and bedding this will improve the immune systems for elderly, young and HIV affected and reduce incidences of cholera, fungal and parasitic infestations, while providing healthy and nutritious food and maintain food security for households. We also will be able to purchase second hand dry clothing for those who have lost everything.
