Physical and emotional nourishment for Sajana

On behalf of Sajana, Thank you so Much!
On behalf of Sajana, Thank you so Much!

Thanks so much for supporting earthquake survivors like Sajana and her family.

Almost 900,000 homes were destroyed or damaged by the Nepal earthquakes and hundreds of thousands of families, including Sajana’s, lost all their possessions. Many lack even basic cooking utensils. This meant Sajana’s family have been struggling to prepare even basic meals.

While this microproject was sadly not fully funded we’ve happily been able to secure other sources of funding to help as well. So, in combination with your generosity, we’ll still be able to proceed as planned.

As a result, with your help included, Sajana’s family and other affected households will still have kitchen utensils, like plates and cups, provided. This will allow these families to prepare and share meals together and will provide some much needed normality after the earthquakes.

In Nepali culture, the kitchen is the heart and soul of the house. So by helping us to provide good quality, durable cooking utensils you’ll help us nourish these families emotional needs as well as their physical ones.

To let you know how your donation is changing lives, we will be sending you regular reports about our work through GlobalGiving. If you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org.

One last time, thanks so much for helping to provide kitchen utensils Sajana and her family!
