Over the past 5 months, we have been providing basic computer training to the young ladies at Develop Africa's Creating pathways Centre. However, these ladies have never accessed the internet and are missing out on a whole world of online learning and communication opportunities. This project will change this by covering the cost of internet access for 6 months. They will be able to access online educational resources and take online courses.
Digital Divide - The computer lab at the Creating Pathways Centre is not connected to the Internet. The ladies are missing out on the online world of opportunities due to no access. Most of them have never been on the internet. We need help with covering the cost of the modem, router and internet service cost for 6 months. Access to online educational resources will further strengthen them and prepare them for a brighter future.
This project will solve the "no internet access" problem by purchasing the needed equipment, establishing access and covering the cost of internet access. It will provide the much-needed internet connectivity. Through this successful project, the ladies will have access to the Web.
Access to online educational opportunities will broaden their horizons, and help to instill in them a global perspective. This will enable them to progress in their careers. Internet connectivity will "take the limits off". It will open up new doors of opportunities for them.
