Thanks so much for supporting Haiyan survivors like Saira.
Saira is only six years old but she’s a survivor of typhoon Haiyan. She lives with her parents and her four brothers and sisters in Tacloban’s Barangay 88. Saira’s dad drives local busses, known as jeepney’s, and although he works hard it’s often tough to find a job because so many people are unemployed after the typhoon.
This mean that Saira and her family often went hungry.
But now because of your generosity, we’ll be able to provide hot meals for Saira, her family, and families like theirs.
These meals will provide a lifeline by helping Haiyan survivors to avoid hunger, malnutrition and ill-health. It will also allow poor families to spend more of their own precious income on rebuilding.
We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of Saira, her family, and families like them right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!
One last time, thanks so much for ensuring that Saira and her family can enjoy hot meals and for reminding her that there is someone who cares.
Very kind regards,
