Very disadvantaged rural young people currently being trained as beekeepers, also each need their own hive and protective bee-suit to enable them to start work. We are seeking to equip 10 enthusiastic trainees now and thereby enable them to start earning to support themselves and their families.
With serious inflation and rising food prices, people always need cash to enable them to support themselves and their families. Producing honey for sale will make a big difference to their income, as well as helping with nutrition.
For 10 young people, this project will enable them to develop their own colony of bees, produce and harvest honey and wax for sale. This has the potential to turn their lives around as there is always a considerable demand for honey.
The aim is to lift the self-esteem of these young people by giving them equipment and training which offers hope, allows them to hold their head high and provide for themselves and their families into the future. This has the potential to break the cycle of poverty.
