Hidden Villa and Help One Child are partnering to host A Day on the Farm for Bay Area foster youth and families. During A Day on the Farm foster children and their families are able to connect with each other and nature in new ways through a variety of age-specific activities, including: ice-cream making, arts and crafts, animal farm tours, team building on the high ropes course, hiking and more. All of this is provided at no cost to the families. Please help support this important partnership!
Many foster youth and families are not able to enjoy time outside regularly because outdoor excursions often come with a financial cost. Foster youth also move between homes at a higher rate than other youth. Hidden Villa provides a consistent program and space for foster youth to experience the outdoors through age-appropriate programming and guided exploration.
This microproject is intended to offset the true cost of "A Day on the Farm" for Hidden Villa so that we can continue to offer this annual experience for Bay Area foster youth and families. Attendees have the chance to get outside, meet farm animals, spark their inspiration, and gain comfort in a new type of environment.
Now in its fourth year, "A Day on the Farm" serves hundreds of families each year, offering new and longtime foster families the opportunity to form new connections with one another and Hidden Villa. "A Day on the Farm" can be something youth look forward to all year or a memory they cherish for years to come.
