Catholic Relief Services (CRS) provided a grant to help us build a kitchen and dining room for our school. The dining room was small. We decided to double the size of the project so we would have space for school-wide events and for after school activitities. CRS gave us $10,000. We need another $10,000 so our students can build ROBOTICS inside instead of outside!
Just imagine, trying to build a robot outside on the dirt and grass. Doesn't work, does it? By building this space, the students will be able to build their robots IN DOORS! We need to raise $10,000 by December 31, 2018. Please help us bring the robotics program inside!!
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has given us the seed money for this project. We need to match their $10,000, so we can build a beautiful, full-size dining hall / meeting space. School is not just about what happens IN each classroom. Students learn through extra curricular activities. For example, we have a ROBOTICS club. This space will give them a place to gather. We also have a very active PARENTS' ASSOCIATION. This space will end the need to cram 100 parents into a classroom space.
Present students will be empowered to access opportunity and secure professional, fulfilling careers. They will often be the first from their families to move beyond poverty's limitations. They will become leaders within their communities and their nation, addressing the root causes that keep Honduras poor. As the model extends and grows, communities will find opportunity to develop, economically and socially. Education will provide the standard for hope and inspiration.
