Aasraa Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children by providing six essential interventions: education, nutrition, medical care, shelter, clothing, and skills training. As winter approaches Dehradun valley, each year Aasraa Trust launches a #WinterAppeal to assist children in braving the harsh weather. Winters can be extremely challenging for children who don't have access to adequate clothing, shelter, or food. Therefore, Aasraa provides each child under its care with warm clothing and nutritious food to ensure their safety and well-being during these months.
This year, Aasraa Trust launched a campaign on GlobalGiving to seek the support of its donors in bringing warmth and care to its children. The response was heartwarming, and a total of $1271 was raised against the campaign named 'Help Us Survive This Winter'. Thanks to the collective efforts of the generous donors, approximately 204 children received complete winter care packages from the money raised. The winter care packs comprised thermal wear, warm tracksuits, a cap, and a pair of woolen socks.
Aasraa's #WinterAppeal demonstrates its commitment towards providing holistic care to its children. Every child deserves a safe, nurturing and secure environment to thrive and succeed and we are working tirelessly to make this a reality for children of Dehradun. We recognize the unwavering support of our donors who made their contribution through the GlobalGiving platform and are very thankful to them for helping us in this project.
