Summary

Thousands of refugee kids in Cameroon have crossed the border from Nigeria fleeing militant attacks and unrest. These families dwell in makeshift shelters struggling to get by. The schools are overwhelmed. The classrooms are packed full, with kids sitting on the bare floor. The classes lack the essential school supplies/resources that enable quality learning. Your support will provide the desperately needed school supplies. This will empower their lives and help them break free from poverty.

Challenge

Imagine being in a class with little or no school supplies! This is what hundreds of kids in Northern Cameroon face each day. As you can imagine, they find it hard to focus and their level of learning is crippled. In such an environment, long-term, they will be behind and less competent. No child should have to learn in such adverse or deprived conditions. Together we can change this.

Solution

Funds from this project will help place school supplies in schools in Cameroon. This will help girls and boys to stay in school, complete their education and pursue their desired profession. These supplies will boost the quality of education offered. Your support will help provide the school supplies the children that the need for their primary school class work. These supplies/tools will enhance the classroom-learning environment and empower learning.

Long-Term Impact

Healthy, well-educated and emancipated women and men are an excellent foundation for a new and free society. Your support will help girls and boys to get a better education, stay in and finish school, become independent and self-sufficient. Children who complete their education are better equipped to pursue their dreams, increase their ability to be financially independent and contribute to national development.
