Christine has been reunited with her boys in France! We were hoping the appeal would mean the boys would be returned to her in the USA. The judge in the USA ruled France had jurisdiction, but the judge in France recognized that the boys need Christine especially because they are special needs. Her now x-husband has to support her and the boys in France. He will get visitation rights but at least the boys are with Christine.
This has been a long, exhausting journey for Christine. She wanted to thank everyone who supported her though this process. She is hoping actress Kelly Rutherford's case will raise visibilty in the media of the plight of American women who's children are sent to a foreign country by American judges.
Christine wrote: "At least I have access to my boys again and I am grateful. But there is something wrong with our system that takes children away from their primary caretakers, their mothers."
We can't agree more. Thank you so much for helping Christine! The AODVC Team.
