A Letter of Gratitude

Dear Kind Donors,

We thank you so very much for generously helping support the repair of our Children's Residential Building.

Although we didn't manage to raise the full sum, but only part of it, we were still able, thanks to your donations, do many good things.

First of all, we were able to give all our Children a little chest of drawers each to put by their bed. (We have two Girl's bedrooms and two Boys Bedrooms, providing beds for approximately 18 - 20 Children). We also have an extra room for Emergency Temporary Shelter and also for young, disabled woman currently living and studying at our School. Our House-mother also sleeps in the room accompanying our smallest Children: Other Residential Staff have rooms in our School.

Then we were able to replace all their wardrobes. We had previously been given metal sports lockers, which though given with kind intent, were not helpful! By now, some of the doors to the lockers had fallen off! So, we were able to choose lovely, practical wardrobes, much to our Children's delight. We bought 8 wardrobes. We then donated those old sports lockers (whose doors had not fallen off yet), to the Di Pok State School.

We then purchased special bamboo racks to put everyone's shoes, as it is the custom in Cambodia, to take off one's shoes before entering inside a room from the outside. We bought eight shoe racks.

Then, we were able to repair our Children's wooden doors. We repaired 4 wooden Bedroom doors, as well as a Bathroom door.

You will be able to see photographs for each of the categories mentioned here.

Just with the help that you all gave, we have been able to improve the quality of our Children's bedrooms. We hope to raise funds again and so complete the heavier work on ceiling repair and wiring and some new floor tiles.

We are incredibly grateful to you all for your great kindness!

With Thanks from us all from our Hearts.
