Thank you so much for supporting our microproject to purchase new sewing machines. We are very pleased to report that we posted 2 microprojects for a total of 8 sewing machines and the projects have received enough funding to purchase TWELVE new sewing machines instead of eight! We are currently in communication with the Afghan Institute of Learning office in Herat to purchase the new machines and determine which centers are most in need. After the machines have been purchased, we will let you know which centers will receive them. We are also hoping to be able to share pictures of AIL students using the new machines once they have been delivered.
These machines are a key component in teaching the Afghan women we work with a valuable skill that helps them to earn an income as well as provide clothing for their family. Again, thank you for your support.
