This project will support poor blind beggars in Nnewi, Anambra State, in order to help them feed and also maintain a healthy life. Loss of vision can affect one's quality of life, independence and mobility and has been linked to falls, injuries etc. Over 90% of these blind people are not working and depends on the money they make daily through begging on the roadside, motor parks, markets etc, in order to sustain themselves. Your donation is highly needed to support them.
Most blind people in Nigeria face a lot of challenges ranging from financial insecurity to social isolation. In Nigeria, there's a high rate of unemployment for even those who are not visually impaired, talk more of those who are blind. Over 90% of these blind people are not working and relies on the money they make daily through begging on the roadside, motor parks, markets etc, in order to feed and take care of themselves. This has led to high levels of poverty and hunger amongst them.
All donations to this microproject will go towards supporting these poor blind beggars, in order to help them to continue feeding properly and also take good care of themselves.
These people will have some money and food items to sustain themselves, especially this festive period coming with increase in the prices of food items, goods and services.
