Winter and snow should be a joy for children. In Ukraine, repeated attacks on power plants and the grid leave people without electricity, heat, sometimes even water. As a result, winter becomes a life-threatening reality for children undergoing treatment or recovering from critical illnesses. Your donation provides emergency heating, backup power, and basic winter supplies for hospitals and nearby family homes, ensuring that treatment is not interrupted and children stay warm and safe.
After repeated strikes on power plants and the energy grid, Ukraine's energy system has reached its most difficult point since 2022, leaving millions without electricity, heat, and sometimes even water in sub-zero temperatures. Winter cold becomes life-threatening for children undergoing treatment or recovering from critical illnesses, especially in heavily targeted medical hubs such as Kyiv and Dnipro, where uninterrupted medical care is essential.
This project provides hospitals and nearby family homes with emergency heating, backup electricity, and winter supplies so children can safely continue treatment and recover during outages. It installs power stations and UPS systems to keep medical equipment running, provides heaters to maintain safe temperatures, ensures lighting during blackouts, and supplies warm blankets and bedding. These measures prevent treatment interruptions and protect children during power and heating outages.
By ensuring a stable supply of heat and electricity, the project reduces health risks caused by cold, treatment interruptions and equipment failure. Continuous care improves children's chances of survival and recovery while strengthening hospitals' ability to operate during winter outages and emergencies, building long-term resilience in Ukraine's healthcare system.
