Thanks to YOU - Platform For Water Tank is Ready

Raised platform completed

Dear project supporters,

Thanks to your support, we now have a raised platform to support the water tank. You can see photos of the platform and construction. At the end of June, the platform will be ready for use.

Thank you so much for helping us complete this important step - the construction of the raised platform.

We are eagerly looking forward to completing this project and the end is in sight. Here are the remaining tasks to complete this dream.

1. Add walls on 3 sides and a door under the raised platform. This will provide added support to the platform pillars, ensuring they do not lean or buckle under close to 800 gallons (US) of water. The area under the platform will become an enclosed store, providing additional storage space for the home.

2. Install solar panel and water pump. The panel will be installed on a raised pole and secured to discourage tampering/theft.

3. Install water tank and plumbing connecting the water pump to the water tank. The water tank will be located approximately 90 feet from the water well / solar pump.

4. Install a standpipe near the tank. This will facilitate easy access to water from the tank.
5. Install new toilets and showers. Renovate bathroom and connect to the water tank. The bathroom is located less than 30 feet from the water tank.
