Helen is a mother of 5 of humble background. She was an orphan by age 10, and became pregnant around the age of 13 from her partner, who at that time was 30 years old. All her attempts to break out of poverty have been frustrated and she and her family survive assisted by members of her church. You can help her take the first step in her journey out of poverty.
Without any knowledge on Family Planning, "I've heard about it, but I don't know what it is" Hellen and her partner had 8 Children. Israel was followed by Elijah, then Ouduak, Blessing and Mary. On the 4th of August triplets followed, but they sadly died a few days after. Her partner is a isherman and can't provide a stable source of income for a family of 7.
With your help, Hellen and her partner will get access to family planning options "I dont want to have more children" and she will receive a business grant to start generating income for herself.
Hellen has done business in the past but never managed to generate enough income for all her children. ''I used to cook rice and sell, but I had to take the capital to pay for the School fees of my older one. So I stopped'' By supporting this project you will be rescuing a family of 7 from a vicious cycle, a poverty trap. 5 children will go on to continue their education and grow to be strong, self-sufficient adults.
