Imagine a teacher planning a class: first they go to the curriculum and find out what skills their students are expected to master. Then they must find the resources to actually teach what the curriculum requires. This means figuring out how to teach these skills, and what tools and resources to use with their students.
Going from the curriculum to the methods and resources can be hard, especially with a bad internet connection: it requires trawling through many websites, often without knowing what are good quality resources.
However, thanks in part to your contribution we have so far been able to digitize collections of teacher guides in 5 areas for lower secondary (first language, second language, natural sciences, arts/music, physical education). each aligned to the relevant elements of the Guatemalan National Curriculum; and we are currently working on the 6th collection! Now teachers who consult the curriculum in any of these areas can go straight to a good quality guide that helps them organize their class, without ever having to leave the cnbGuatemala.org platform.
This year we have served over 200,000 educators each month. And aligning educational resources with the curriculum is a permanent task. Your contribution has helped us move forward a bit more. Great works, even pyramids and cathedrals, are build one brick at a time. Thank you!
