For the 100 girls at an Udaan school in Mewat, Haryana province in India, getting an education is a dream come true. Facing tremendous cultural challenges, these girls are learning and becoming more confident. But most of them are not encouraged to play and participate in sports outside of school. Your support will provide a bicycle for girls and provide every day oppurtunities for girls to learn cycling.
As the 2012 London Olympics showed the world, women and sports are a great combination! The girls would like a bicycle for their school to build agility and sportsmanship. And memories.
Providing girls to access to sport and cycling cultivates leadership skills, team spirit and confidence. It helps to combat the existing stereotype that girls cannot play.
Girls who are provided with an opportunity to participate in sports develop better self-esteem and self-confidence.
