Afghanistan lacks educational infrastructure and does not have enough public high schools and universities for all students to attend. Where public schools do exist, they often do not offer a high quality education. This project will make it possible for two female students to attend a private high school or university, where they will receive high quality instruction.
This microproject will provide two Afghan girls with a contributory scholarship towards the cost of tuition, books, school uniforms, stationary supplies and transport. All of these needs are necessary for them to attend a private high school and except for uniforms, a university.
This project will change the course of two girls' lives. By giving to this project, you are opening a world of possibility for them. You are assuring that two girls will be part of the 12.6% of Afghan women who are literate. As they grow and begin their own families, they will pass the desire to learn on to their children helping to create a better future for Afghanistan.
This project changes the course of two Afghan students' lives. By providing students with the funds necessary to attend school, you are giving them a way to a better life, a life with options, a life without poverty. Also, it is CHI's belief that the way to peace in Afghanistan is through education for all. By helping to provide scholarships to Afghan students, you are helping to build a brighter, more peaceful future for families and the country as a whole.
