Elizabeth is a young entrepreneur living in Tole, Cameroon. Her father and mother were dead by the time she was 11. She went to live with an aunt, had to stop school and became a housemaid and helped in the business. She married young and traveled to another region, without knowledge on family planning she had 5 children she struggles to provide for. The husband is a seasonal worker in a plantation. She is making sure her family is fed every day, but with your help, she could do more than that.
Elizabeth's family stays in a house that is not their own. Her husband, a seasonal worker and smallholder farmer, cannot fully take care of a home. Elizabeth's dream is to send her children to a good school. She is not educated because she did not have someone to sponsor her and she does not want her children to suffer the same fate. With your help Elizabeth will take ownership of her future, grow a business and be able to provide for school fees and rents every day.
Elizabeth sells food every morning, provides fertilizer in her village during farming seasons and manages a cooperative chair rental business. With her 5 children, she does not have capacity to save and grow her business to higher heights of profitability. That's where you come in. Even a minor increase in her capital will have significant impact on her monthly profits. With your help she will gain stability and take her shop to the next level.
With the grant you can provide for her, Elizabeth will buy bigger lots of fertilizer at cheaper rates, a product in high demand. On the long run she will be able to provide for herself and family a better living conditions. During a year she will receive 2 business grants and continuous coaching in the field. We can put Elizabeth in a strong place to leave poverty forever.
