Ali grew up in Afghanistan, competing in the sport of Muay Thai from a very young age. He participated in many competitions and earned some great prestige before he was forced to leave the country. Since leaving, he has worked hard to keep up his fitness, and is still in incredible fighting shape. Ali's dream is to participate in the Muay Thai World Championships this year, which run from September 1-11 in Peja, Kosovo. Your donation will help pay for flights, accommodation and associated costs.
Without financial support, Ali is unable to afford the travel costs to compete in the Kosovo event and other qualifying events that lead up to the championship. Flights and accommodation for the finals alone would cost over 1,500 euros. Medical clearance, training, equipment, and other costs in the lead up to the event would also need to be covered. You can help!
By supporting this project, you will give Ali a second chance at his dream to compete on the world stage. Ali has been a dedicated and reliable coach since he arrived in Greece, sharing his expertise and wisdom with our community. We believe that he deserves this chance to prove himself!
If Ali is able to compete in the Kosovo event, it means a chance to raise his fighting profile and potentially compete in future events and potentially even become a sponsored athlete. He will also learn so much through competition that he can pass on to his students on Lesvos.
