Over two years ago a small candle that caused a fire changed the life of Cesia and her three sisters: All of them suffer from severe burns, but for Cesia it is especially difficult as she lost her foot in the accident. Right now, Cesia needs a new personalized prosthesis to walk and live a normal life again. Her family is not able to pay for the new prosthesis and that is why we need your help to enable Cesia to walk normally again and thus, extensively increase her quality of life.
Despite her severe burns and her missing leg, Cesia is a wonderful and happy 8-year old girl. When she is receiving her treatments in ANIQUEM, she comes into our office and tells us about her new friends and her dream of becoming a doctor in her home town. If you have the chance to get to know her, you would certainly fall in love with this little girl directly. To be able to play with her sisters the way she is used to, she urgently needs a new prosthesis that you can help us to finance.
Cesias family does not have the economical ways to buy her the needed leg prosthesis as they are coming from one of the lowest-income group in Peru. We want to provide Cesia with this new personalized prosthesis that will really change her life: She will be able to return to her home town with her whole family, play with her sisters and her friends and just have the opportunity to life a normal life again after all that she has been through with only 8 years.
Through the integral rehabilitation we offer our little patients will not only get the necessary medical treatment but will also learn how to live with their external and internal scars. Our ultimate goal is to improve their life quality, so that the kids are able to live a normal life again and convert them and their families into prevention ambassadors in their community. Together with the distribution of prevention messages they can help us to decrease the number of burn accidents in Peru.
