Charles is a boy of 18 years who have grown up in Mah Di's orphanage in Kumba. He is still staying in the orphanage with other children and acts as a leader, a worker, a care-taker and a role model. He is also a student in a technical school, the orphanage pays his fees, but they will not be able to pay for higher education. Charles has a plan to raise income that will enable him to take care of his school needs and also help with the running of the orphanage.
Charles has seen the need to support himself financially rather than depending on the orphanage, which has a lot of children (40) to take care of. He does not have capital to start up his business and the orphanage can't help him start either. He does not have any relative that can help him achieve his dreams either. But you can help change that. You can help him start a business that will end his dependency and help him also go further in his education.
Charles is an intelligent man with keen knowledge in poultry business. As he grew up in the orphanage as a boy, he helped to take care of the Orphanage poultry and mastered the task. He has developed a detailed business plan with clear goals and profit projections. He will be assisted by the orphanage director and Reach Out Cameroon's staff to ensure his success. With the profit, he can pay for his education, become and independent adult and will help in the running of the orphanage.
This short intervention can enable Charles to start all over and raise his own income which will help him building up his life. With the initial capital, he will buy 100 chicks which will cost about 233 dollars plus other expenditures. The income will be enough to help Charles grow and buy more 150 chicks 6 weeks after. If he successfully grows to have 200 chicks a second grant will allow him to grow to 400 chicks. A team on the field will meet regularly with him to provide orientation.
