With the generosity of our project supporters, we were able to provide an indigenous village with much needed tools to combat forest fires and with gasoline for mobilization to the location of these fires. Some fires were close to the village, other in more remote areas. Their work was not easy, but it was very rewarding, as they were able to save big patches of their forest, stopping the fire to spread. The tools will be very useful during the next fire season. Every person that supported this campaign contributed directly to combating the Amazon fires in Xingu Indigenous Park, an area of immense biological and cultural diversity. The Kamaiura are expressing their gratitude to each one of you.
