Your gift will help educate an Afghan woman in how to prepare the ground, plant seeds and grow her own food. Lack of food is a concern for many poorer Afghans, so being able to grow their own vegetables will make a big difference to their nutrition and economic situation. Any extra produce will be sold in the local market, provided an added income source for women who will also gain self-confidence from their success. Nurturing plants will also provide mental health benefits for families who are stressed and fearful about the future.
