On Aug 27, we learned that one of the families we have previously supported in Sierra Leone was involved in a flooding disaster. They lost their 8-month old, youngest daughter - swept away by the flood. The family lives in the blue shed, a single room apartment - that was built alongside a well-known waterway called the Samba gutter. They lost everything and are now staying temporarily with a neighbor. This project will provide housing, clothing, and food, giving them hope and a fresh start
This family has lost everything in the recent flooding, even the youngest member of their family. They are in desperate need for food, clothing, and housing assistance. The mother is a housewife with no means of income and their father is a petty trader. His income is grossly insufficient to take care of the family. It is very difficult for this family to get a meal a day and their living conditions are poor.
This project will raise funds for this family to provide food, clothing, school uniforms and cover the cost of renting better housing for a year. Your donation will help them get back on their feet and secure a safer place to live.
By supporting this project you are helping to restore their lives back to normalcy.
