Project Report | May 13, 2020
Completing phase 1 / Completamos la fase 1

By Felix Alvarado | Project promoter / Promotor del proyecto

Thanks to your help we are reaching our goal! Our 2 volunteer tutors and 7 participating youth are completing Aprende (learn), the first phase of the Balam 2020 robotics challenge. Having mastered the required principles of electronics, circuit design and programming, they are beginning to hand in videos of their work on the Arduino online simulator.

Inspired by the needs derived from the Covid-19 emergency, Kary decided to program a EKG heart monitor, while Jonatahn worked on a temperature monitor. Now their peers will have to catch up!

In the meantime we are all getting ready to move into Crea (create), phase 2 of the challenge. We'll be procuring robot kits, making plans for travel to the city (keeping our fingers crossed for when lockdown ends!) and, most importantly, the youth will be building and testing their robots and programs.

Join us in wishing them luck in their endeavor.

======

Gracias a tu ayuda estamos llegando a nuestra meta.
