The Graphic Design T-Shirt shop was not fully funded. Thank you to those who have contributed. We are pooling your funds with other program funds to bring this art and entrepreneurship activity to life. As a part of the STEM Academy, members are designing their specific Club academy t-shirts. This provides an opportunity to engage teens interested in art as well as provide an opportunity for them to lead a project within the team. The t-shirts will be worn by the Club academy students when on field trips and engaging project focused activities.
Creating t-shirts for the STEM Academy is the inaugural design activity for 30 participants. The members will break in to project teams to complete their design tasks. They will also use the process to develop t-shirts and similar design products for their entrepreneurship component of the academy. In this activity members develop another outlet for their creative strengths as well explore the entrepreneurial opportunities available through art and graphic design in addition to learning to work on a project team.
At the conclusion of the introductory meeting one student enthusiastically gasped, "So, when we can we get started?" The response was, "right now!" The excitement that spread among the group was contagious.
Thank you for making this possible. Education and opportunity are pathways out of poverty. You are helping us to
provide both in a meaningful way to our teen members.
