This project will provide a year of nutritious food for Wilson. Wilson is fourteen years old. Wilson was brought to the orphanage by his grandparents. They made the difficult choice to give him up because they couldn't afford to feed or educate him, and they wanted him to have a bright future. Wilson is one the orphanage's best students - he simply loves school. But without nutritious meals to keep him growing, Wilson's future will be bleak.
As an orphan Wilson is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't an effective nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for his basic needs. This means that, without your help, Wilson may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving him more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.
By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Wilson needs to stay healthy. Note that the orphanage is home to around thirty children. Donations to this project will cover Wilson's share of the food costs over a year, but will be spent on all the children in parallel as we fundraise for each in turn.
