Give Wilkenson a year of food

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
Give Wilkenson a year of food

Summary

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for Wilkenson. After Wilkenson's parents died in 2009 his grandmother tried to care for him and his brothers, but she couldn't afford to feed them. So she was forced to abandon them at the HTDC orphanage. But the orphanage struggles to feed Wilkenson as well and without nutritious meals to keep him growing, Wikenson's future will be bleak.

Challenge

As an orphan, Wilkenson is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't an effective nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for his basic needs. This means that, without your help, Wilkenson will have to go without nutritious meals, leaving him more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.

Solution

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Wilkenson needs to stay healthy.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Wilkenson needs, you're preventing illness and helping him grow up strong!
