This project will provide a full year of education for five year old Schnaidine. Schnaidine's mom abandoned her shortly after birth, and she lived with her grandmother. But her grandmother had ten other kids to look after, so she left Schnaidine and her older sister Chanini at the HTDC orphanage. Schnaidine has a big personality and she can really hold her own - even with the boys! With your help, we'll be able to provide her with the education she needs to build a secure future.
As an orphan, Schnaidine is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There are no free schools available in Port-au-Prince, and the orphanage struggles to pay for the kids in its care to attend school. Lack of education locks kids like Schnaidine into a cycle of poverty. Ensuring access to school not only helps Schnaidine, but strengthens Haitian communities in the long-term.
Schnaidine has lived her whole life in poverty. She needs a quality education to find a prosperous future. Your donations will give her that education and set her on the road to a brighter tomorrow.
Access to education will give Schnaidine the skills she needs to find a stable job and escape poverty when she's older.
