This project will provide a refrigerator to Mrs Joy, in order to help her in preserving her foods/food items. Mrs Joy is a poor widow and a mother of three children. She reheats their foods on daily basis because of lack of a refrigerator, making the foods to loose it's freshness, taste and nutritional value. A refrigerator keeps foods cold and cold temperatures helps foods to stay fresh longer. Refrigeration slows down the activity of bacteria so that it takes longer for it to spoil a food.
Mrs Joy is a poor widow and a mother of three children, who is into petty trading, in order to make a living and be able to take good care of herself and her children. Because she doesn't have a refrigerator, she reheats their foods on daily basis, making the foods to loose it's freshness, taste and nutritional value. A food that has lost it's nutritional value, can only be taken to prevent hunger and not to provide nutrients to the body.
We will buy a refrigerator for her with the funds that would be raised through this microproject, in order to help her in preserving her foods and other food items.
Mrs Joy will stop reheating her foods on daily basis and will be able to preserve them inside the refrigerator once there's electricity and this will help to retain the freshness, taste and nutritional values of the foods.
