Mosquito prone disease has become an epidemic at present such as malaria, dengue, etc. have spread everywhere. According to a report, maximum number of human beings are died of biting mosquitoes and one out of every five persons is infected by this. The areas of dirty and contaminated water logging are more infected from these diseases as the atmosphere is feasible for the mosquitoes and they easily multiply in numbers.
RSKS India, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, has distributed mosquito nets to the residents of such malaria infected areas. Our activist had done a survey and then distributed these nets to the residents of most infected area. Women were happy to get the mosquito nets as they may be able to have a sound sleep now. Earlier, they found difficult to have even a nap, since as the night falls mosquitoes started their activities and the residents had lost their sleep. But now, they sleep without being scared of the mosquitoes using the mosquito nets.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sanathan gathered information about the area by the Sarpanch. The Sarpanch told that the area was included in the mosquito infected areas. Dirty water is poured into the pond, water logging at the roads help mosquitoes to multiply. The activists of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan have delivered awareness message to the residents and suggested them to fill the pits and spray insecticides in the pond. The impact was seen very soon as the residents filled the pits and they are constructing drains for the drainage of dirty water at present. A hygienic environment is being developed there, for which, the residents and Sarpanch thank to Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and Global Giving Foundation.
