We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart.
Our environment is being polluted which directly and indirectly affects our health adversly. In the garbage spread all over and stagnated water in cities are best habitat of micro-organisms where they breed and grow. Mosquito is one of the dangerous micro-organisms which breeds and grows in such surroundings. The residents of slums often become the victims of mosquitoes due to the garbage and stagnated water and suffer from mosquito prone fatal diseases as dengue, malaria. According to a survey, the residents of slums become the victims of dengue, malaria and other mosquito prone diseases very easily and in a large number.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, for resolving the severe proble, with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation, distributed mosquito nets to 30 selected families of slums. The families were happy to get the mosquito nets as they can have sound sleep at night and keep mosquitoes away from them with the mosquito nets. Our activists gave them information about mosquito prone diseases and ways to cure and prevent them. In the program, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan firstly had a survey of slum families and selected the families whose members are victims of dengu, malaria. Then mosquito nets were distributed to the selected families.
In addition to mosquito nets distribution program, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan also organized a cleanliness campaign. The localites participated in the campaign with excitement and contributed significantly by making the surroundings clean as roads, streets, handpumps, public taps were made clean and pots were filled. The campaign was a success one due to the contribution of the localites. They appreciated the campaign and thanked to GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors.
