Education is the fundamental right of every child which is equal to each boy and girl. If a girl is educated, she becomes able enough to nurture her family and look after her children in better way, moreover she influences the society with a unique identity. But, in rural areas, people don't understand the importance of girl education.
In today's era of change, to promote girl education, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized a program in three schools at distant villages of Pisangan block in which school uniform, water battle, stationery and school bags were given to 105 girls of deprived community. The Education stuffs were given to the needy girls with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation. There was lack of proper arrangement of fresh water for which the organization distributed water bottles to the girls using which they may bring fresh water from their homes to drink in school.
In the program, girls sang songs. An essay competition was also held for girls by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan in which the participants wrote essays on "END Child marriage". They expressed their thoughts and views on child marriage in the essays. The participant who wrote the best essay was awarded to encourage the girls. The school management and teachers appreciated the initiative of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan. Deepak, one of our activists had conversation with the school Principal, Sarla Ji and came to know about the views and approach of villagers and the school regarding girl education.
I am Sarla, the Principal of the school for last 4 years. In the lack of proper arrangement for fresh water, the girls had to go to nearby taps and handpumps to drink water. But, the water contains fluoride in excessive measure which makes it non-drinkable. I thank Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan for giving water bottles to the girls so that they may be able to bring fresh water from their homes to drink. I often see that in rural areas, people are not aware of girl education and noticed gender inequality. I would like to thank GlobalGiving Foundation and Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan to promote girl education. The efforts made by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan will be mile stone definitely.
