Give Carol a year of nutritious food!

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
Give Carol a year of nutritious food!

Summary

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for Carol. Carol is 15. She was brought to the orphanage when she was 13 by her only remaining family member - her sister. She doesn't talk much about her past, so we don't know how she came to be an orphan. Carol is responsible and quiet, and she's always helping with the younger kids. She dreams of being a nurse. Nutritious food is key to keeping Carol healthy, in school, and seeing her reach her dreams.

Challenge

Following the effects of tropical storm Isaac and Hurricane Sandy in Haiti, the cost of food has almost doubled. This makes it far more difficult for the orphanage to buy the food it needs. Without your help, Carol may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving her more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.

Solution

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Carol needs to stay healthy.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Carol needs, you're preventing illness and helping her grow up strong!
