We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart.
Since centuries, the rights of women have been oppressed in the society. Women don't get their right in the male dominated society and they live their entire life in the wall boundary of their residence doing household chores. But, a nation and the society grow and develop only when women become self-reliant for which they have to be strengthen. In order to be strengthen, women must have a sustainable source of livelihood which helps them to be self-reliant. But, most of the women can't establish self-employment due to lack of finance and they have to depend on others to survive.
In order to make women strengthen and to get them sustainable livelihood, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, distributed sewing machines to poor, deprived, single mother, divorced, disabled women. With the help of the sewing machines they may be able to start their employment at homes. We provide one sewing machine machine to Three poor women. They got happy as they couldn't do sewing even they know how to sew just because of not having a sewing machine and they couldn't afford it. Now, all of them can sew clothes at their homes for the local women and earn. Our activists had a conversation with one of the women. In her words,
My name is Mohini and I'm 24 years old. Being married at an early age, I got all my dreams scattered. Two years ago, I got divorced and I had lots of trouble. I have a child and the responsiblity of its upbringing is all upon me alone, and I had to face economic problems. I worked at an office to earn, but I had to walk 12 km to reach the office but I didn't get enough renumeration. I had interest in sewing and I know to sew almost all sort of costumes, but my economical conditions didn't allow me to afford it. I want to thank GlobalGiving Foundation and Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan to get me sewing machine which I'll use to earn.
