I want to share a story with you:
It’s a story of two friends: Michael, age 8 and Joshua, age 9. Both live in the South Bay, became friends at an after school agency, and play together all the time. So it came as no surprise when both boys wished for the same gift: digital cameras.
When we asked the boys why they wanted their digital cameras, they told us that they wanted them so they could take pictures of their families and friends to create memories they won’t forget. You see, both families tend to move around a lot due to lack of affordable housing and Michael, in particular, “was really sad about moving.”
Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to give 30 children, including Michael and Joshua electronic gifts. As a part of our larger project, “Fulfill Holiday Wishes for 662 Bay Area Children”, we distributed these gifts in the weeks leading up to the holidays from our Holiday Wish Drive Warehouse and were able to help 68,400 children in need.
Thank you for helping create the happy memories for the children we help.
Note: Boys pictured are not Michael and Joshua from the above story.
