Dear Friends,
It gives us immense pleasure to share that with the help of our friends, we have been able to provide 80 two-tier bunk beds to our children. Our current strength is 150 and the beds are good for 160 children.
Sphoorti Children's Home was established in 2006. For 10 years, we had no means to provide a bed and a mattress to our children. We were always waiting for our own campus to come up so that space does not become a constraint
The success of our campaign shows how our stakeholders and sponsors are committed to providing a better life to children in need. Their commitment has been the singular reason for Sphoorti reaching a stage of significance after 10 years of struggle for survival.
The children are now able to :
1. Get a healthy sleep at least 8 hours
2. Feel happy about their new possessions - a soft mattress, a pillow, a bedsheet and blanket
3. Feel that they are being taken care of well
4. They have become more responsible in making their beds and consequently, take better responsibility of themselves
5. Their health and concentration on studies have improved.
As one of our children N recently said on our New Year's Party, "We are no more afraid to think big as we know brothers and sisters who support Sphoorti will make sure we don't fall or if we fall, we will rise again with their help."
A Big THANK YOU to all our brethren who are fulfiling one of the greatest requirements of a human being - a sound sleep which contributes to their physical and mental health.
